Clint is a native of Detroit, Michigan. He attended Wayne University and graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1960.

As a Navy Attack pilot he flew the Skyraider, Skyhawk and Corsair II aircraft. He retired from the Naval Reserve as a Captain in 1990.

In 1997 he retired after 29 years from Delta Airlines as an International Captain on the L-1011. Clint is an active pilot and aircraft owner.
