Ercoupe Facts

Fred Weick Designer or the Ercoupe
The H tail gets the rudders out of the slipstream of the prop, thus reducing
the amount of correction you need to have when taking off at full power.
The Ercoupe was first manufactured in 1939.
The Ercoupe is a 2-seat airplane that was designed by Fred E. Weick for ERCO
(Engineering Research Corporation).
Normally, an Ercoupe can fly in the range of 100-120 mph.
The Ercoupe was one of the first general aviation aircraft with a tricycle gear.
You can fly an Ercoupe with the side windows down, so it's one of the few airplane
convertibles out there.
An Ercoupe is characteristically incapable of spins.
