Dreams do come true! The 1943 C-47 transport aircraft also known
as the Sky Train that has been adopted by TigerFlight and was to be used
as a classroom only for our children’s program might just fly again!
The TigerFlight C-47 not unlike the phoenix of myth may rise from the
ashes. Through the generosity of Captain Chad Koppie, the aircraft's
owner, new engines have been acquired and the C-47 might just be seen
in flight at an air show near you. “We
have along way to go yet, but through the efforts of the TigerFlight pilots,
crew and supporters the flight of the C-47 could be a reality within the next
year”, said Chad Koppie.
News Flash: Tiger Lady wakes up!!!! The engines have
fired off with no problem. The next step for Tiger Lady, per Captain Koppie,
is that in December she will have a wing off AD, hydraulic system check
and a full system check. Then after an FAA inspection, Tiger Lady should
take flight sometime in February or March.
Have you ever noticed that those that say it can't be done are constantly being
interrupted by someone doing it!!
