LEADING YOUTH TO THE
DREAM OF FLIGHT

TigerFlight Foundation, based at Richard B. Russell Airport (RMG) in Rome, Georgia, is a (501c3) non-profit foundation leading youth to the dream of flight and providing an opportunity for adults to serve through aviation activities. The TigerFlight Foundation’s mission is to inspire youth and adults to become “Pilots in Command” of their own lives. The pipeline of good, qualified pilots is decreasing and TigerFlight is working to help introduce youth to aviation and to be the spark that ignites a lifelong passion for aviation.

Major foundation components include our Children’s Education and Motivational Program, the Boy Scouts of America Aviation Merit Badge Program, our ROTC partners from neighboring high schools and our TigerFlight Formation Flight Team, where we honor veterans with fly-overs for funerals and special occasions. TigerFlight was founded in 2001 by two Atlanta-area pilots to help inspire youth to be the best they can be, and use a unique aircraft to reach children of all ages. TigerFlight now consists of four aircraft, and fourteen active pilots, two skilled formation flight coaches and several skilled ground crew members.
